Comments:
On core needle biopsies, hepatic cirrhosis manifests with diffuse nodularity separating the parenchyma into regenerative nodules. The fibrous septa contain chronic inflammatory cell infiltrates and a ductular reaction. The distorted parenchymal architecture also shows abnormal vasculature due to hepatocyte damage and scarring.
