Lymphomatoid polyposis consists of several aggregates of malignant lymphoid cells that speckle the intestinal mucosa, appearing grossly as numerous polyps as seen in the previous photograph. This may efface the mucosal folds and villi to some extent, though non-blunted villi can be seen here.
