Comments:
Most cases of early gastric carcinoma are of intestinal type as seen in this image. Lymph node metastases are seen in upto 20% of cases. Treatment is by endoscopic resection or partial gastrectomy. Five year survival rate is 80% to 95% even with lymph node metastases.
