Comments:
The fundic mucosa in fundic gland polyps is often atrophic and flattened and may harbor a regenerative appearance. Both parietal and chief cells line the cystic spaces, and these cells may demonstrate budding. Dysplasia arising in fundic gland polyps is uncommon, and adenocarcinoma is vanishingly rare.
