Benign Gastric Ulcer in Antrum

Topic: Inflammatory Disorders

Category: Stomach

slide 1 of 9

Comments:
Features favoring benign ulcer include: 1) small size 2) mucosa surrounding ulcer base is not tumefactive 3) radiating rugal folds extend nearly all the way to the margins of the base; however, the gross criteria for separating benign gastric ulcers from malignant are not always reliable.
