Ameloblastoma is a locally aggressive tumor that usually pursues a benign clinical course. Grossly, most cases show an expansile solid and cystic mass. The cysts may be small and seen only at microscopic level or may be large enough to give the tumor a multicystic appearance. If left untreated, the relentless growth can produce a large disfiguring mass, as seen in this image. Image courtesy of: @reportesvillarroel, Caracas, Venezuela.
