Peripheral Ameloblastoma : Treatment & Prognosis

Peripheral ameloblastomas are less aggressive tumors than their intraosseous counterparts and are treated by simple excision. Local recurrences, seen in 15% to 20% of cases, are dealt with by re-resection. Rare cases of malignant transformation have been reported.
