Molluscum Contagiosum - Sites of Involvement: The most common sites of involvement are face, trunk, and extremities in young children. The palms, soles and mucus membranes are usually spared.
In sexually active adults, the lesions occur on genitalia, thigh, lower abdomen and surrounding areas. The lesions may be widespread in areas of atopic dermatitis. Autoinoculation spreads lesions.
